MADMAN
From the wastedlands, rises MADMAN!!!! Born in a fire of Speed Doom and Thrash by founder Kyle Lethal (guitar/vocals). Legacy, the drummer from the depths of hell, was hired to rock the drum throne, and Volkert to tackle the bass. The original line-up played a few shows and recorded the FORCE OF SOUND EP, Produced by Brandon Wars (Flying Fortress/ex-Goat Horn). After the recording sessions the first line-up broke up, but Lethal carried on. He relocated to Oshawa from his hometown of Pembroke, and found Overkill to take over bass, and Tyrant to bang the drums. Together they recorded a 7 track EP called, SILENT NIGHT/DEADLY NIGHT, Produced By Kyle Lethal, and released a music video for their holiday cover 'Jingle Bell Hell.' Brett Overkill left after recording and was replaced by RAMPAGE.
Pete Rots
Sal DeCicco - Drums
Dominick Di Lillo - Guitar, Vocals
Tommy Falanga - Guitar, Vocals
Jeff Mackay - Bass Guitar
Anthony Galati - Vocals
1983-1987 - Performed as Tempest with a four man lineup: This Brooklyn Heavy Metal band was earlier influenced by Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Kiss, Black Sabbath & AC/DC and later on by Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate & Metallica. Played the NYC area including Long Island, NY with many bands on the track to become metal legends although never had the success they feel they deserved. Appeared in fanzines from the US & Europe. Band members remain friends and only Jeff Mackay has remained on the metal/hard rock scene with other bands to this day. More info to follow.
2012- At a Special Surprise Birthday Jam for Sal D in May 2012, playing together lit a spark in the guys. Re-uniting for fun that day brought out an old friend, Anthony G, take on lead vocal duties, freeing up Dom D & Tommy F to concentrate on their guitars, joining in on background vocals for select tunes. Bassist Jeff Mackey re-joins for fun. Jeff has kept his bass & vocals sharp in various projects since. Most notably Machine, the Want & now Cold Fur.
From this one chance gathering of original and new Pete Rots was born.
